It’s been an interesting week on social media for Antonio Brown. Over the last couple of days, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver has posted a lewd tweet as well as a rant on Instagram criticizing his baby mama’s parenting, to name just two notable posts.

And now, Brown has for some reason decided to blast former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and current Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin on Instagram for what they said about him earlier in his career.

“Bruce Arians said he’s a special team guy he caint learn the plays hots n sites,” Brown said on Instagram. “Not Smart Enough.” “Coach T Bench me on a bye week; said two dogs one bone. God bless em #putsomerestpectonmyname.”

It remains unclear just what is motivating Brown to post those types of thoughts on social media of late. Perhaps he just has a lot more time on his hands these days considering he didn’t take part in all but a couple of the Steelers’ voluntary organized team activities.

With regard to digging up the past with Arians and Tomlin, maybe that’s just what happens to players wired like Brown when they have a chip on their shoulder. While it’s good that those slights against them motivate them toward greatness, the downside is that they may just never let any of those slights go.

Even though Brown has long succeeded in proving his coaches wrong by becoming one of the best receivers in the game, he might just need to keep reminding himself of those past slights to continue to push himself.
