If this is in fact Le'Veon Bell, it is an interesting decision by him to partake in a pick-up basketball game, given that he has continued to remain away from the team. It doesn't the best light on him to decide to play at a local Pittsburgh gym instead of being back with the team heading into Week 10 action.

At this point, there has been no indication about when he will be back with the team this season if at all. There have been new details to emerge that he doesn't have to report this year given that has already played in four-plus seasons in the league that will allow him to test to the open market next March. This has thrown a bit of a wrench into the entire situation leaving the door open to him being able to remain away from the Steelers for the rest of the year.

In his absence, second-year running back James Conner has more than firmly stepped into open starting role currently ranking second in the NFL with 706 rushing yards and nine touchdowns this season along with hauling in 38 catches for 379 receiving yards and a touchdown. He also holds the franchise record with 10 total touchdowns with at least 1,000 scrimmage yards through the first eight games of a season while he’s on pace to record 2,170 total scrimmage yards with 20 total touchdowns. As long as Le'Veon Bell remains away from the team, James Conner will continue to be the primary factor out of the backfield.
