The completely unnecessary feud between Antonio Brown and Ryan Clark has reached a new level.

On Wednesday, in response to being called out on Twitter for supposedly inaccurate takes about the Pittsburgh Steelers, Clark, who played with the team for eight seasons and is now an analyst for ESPN, fired back that he was right about “the Antonio Brown thing” all along.

Brown, of course, was traded to the Oakland Raiders last month after a tumultuous 2018 season with Pittsburgh. He openly criticized quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, coach Mike Tomlin, and the team at large after the season, too, which further sparked lingering animosity between he and Clark.

The Raiders superstar took notice of Clark's tweet and responded Thursday morning, threatening his former teammate with violence the next time they happen to meet in person.

Clark, predictably, welcomed Brown's threat with open arms, insisting he never hoped to avoid ire. He even dared Brown to use his private jet to initiate fisticuffs.

Acrimony between the pair dates back to Week 17 of last season, when a frustrated Brown skipped practices leading up to the Steelers' season finale and was suspended by the team. In a following interview on ESPN, Clark suggested Pittsburgh should trade the six-time Pro Bowler for behavior that consistently put himself ahead of the team. Shortly thereafter, Brown commented “Uncle Tom” on an Instagram video of the interview in question.

Brown and Clark were teammates in Pittsburgh from the former's NFL debut in 2010 to the latter's penultimate campaign in 2013.
