Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady is having a pretty wild offseason, and it could wind up with him landing with the San Francisco 49ers.

It started with people feeling almost certain he would retire. However, he then announced that he was coming back for at least one more season.

It might not be to the New England Patriots though, as he's a free agent. And now he's getting linked in rumors to basically every team in the NFL. That includes the 49ers, a rumor that's been gaining a lot of traction lately.

How would they pair together though? Here are three reasons why the 49ers are the perfect fit for Brady.

3.That Defense

This one is pretty obvious. The New England Patriots had one of the best defenses in the NFL in 2019. So did the 49ers.

Giving Brady an elite defense really helps take pressure off the 42-year-old. He's at a stage in his career, where you can't really put the entire burden on him. A defense like San Francisco's will make it so that the quarterback does not have to worry about doing too much.

Brady will just need to do the essentials, limit turnovers, keep the ball moving, and don't put his defense in rough spots.

If he can do that, the defense will likely give him a lot of short fields to work with. That means the load is lightened for Brady. And even if he does put the defense in bad situations, they'll bail him out of quite a few of them.

2. Super Bowl Ready

Speaking of that defense, they helped get the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2019. This is a Super Bowl worthy team.

They have an elite defense, and more than enough weapons on offense. They also have an offensive line that wins games and will keep Brady protected.

If he' is indeed leaving the Patriots, it will be for a team that can win immediately. Brady is working with limited time at this point. He's going to be 43 at the beginning of the 2020 season. If he's lucky, he has maybe two years left.

So he's not going to go to a team that needs to rebuild or is still a step away. He's going to go to a team that can get him another Super Bowl ring before he hangs it up. The 49ers, having been runner-ups last season, should be right at the top of the list.

1. 49ers' Running Game

That running game is ridiculous. Last season, the 49ers had three running backs that absolutely dominated.

Tevin Coleman had 544 yards and six touchdowns on 137 carries (4.0 yards per carry). Matt Breida had 623 yards and one touchdown on 123 carries (5.1 yards per carry). And finally, Raheem Mostert had 772 yards and eight touchdowns on 137 carries (5.6 yards per carry).

That is just unfair. Having three running backs like that meant the 49ers got to keep each man fresh, which meant they were always productive. It also meant defenses were going to get tired a lot quicker than they were.

Couple that trio with a great offensive line, and you've got magic. Give Brady that running game and he's going to have a much easier job. An easier job means he doesn't need to try and put the offense on his back. Which means he might just put up the best numbers he's seen in a while.

Brady is being courted by a lot of teams. Only a few could compete with what the 49ers have to offer him.
