Richard Sherman and the San Francisco 49ers will face his former team in the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. Ahead of Monday night's game, Sherman avoided making any negative comments while speaking about his former team.
“It’s another game,” Sherman said, calmly, this week. “It’s a division game. It’s definitely more meaningful in that respect. Because a division game, you got a win if you make the playoffs and if you want to have a home game, you want to win your division. So it’s definitely meaningful in that respect. But, to me, that’s about it.”
Throughout his career, Sherman is known for carrying a chip on his shoulder regardless of who he is playing. Therefore, it is surprising to see him take the high-road when speaking about the team who cut him when he was recovering from an Achilles injury.

Sherman facing his former team is definitely the elephant in the room. But while he's being asked about it, he's trying to keep the conversations strictly about the 49ers and Seahawks.
