The San Francisco 49ers picked second in the just-concluded draft. They will get to know other top-five picks this upcoming season.

When the 2019 NFL regular season begins, all players – including those selected in the 2019 NFL Draft – will begin the chase for a Super Bowl trophy. Many of these organizations will be fielding teams that have players selected high in the first round of the draft, and some will face nearly all of the picks selected in the top five.

The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals are the only two teams in the NFL that will be playing three games in 2019 that involve multiple top-five draft picks. Not only do they play each other twice thanks to their NFC West divisional meetings, but they also both play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have top-five pick Devin White.

The only other game in the 2019 NFL regular season to feature two top-five selected picks will be the Week 12 meeting between the Oakland Raiders and New York Jets, which will feature Clelin Ferrell going against Quinnen Williams.

As for the 49ers and Cardinals, this is a special chance to see both high-end draft picks compete directly against each other. Since both play on opposite sides of the ball, Nick Bosa of San Francisco and Kyler Murray of Arizona will be directly competing at nearly all times on the field.

Taken first overall, Murray will try to lead the Cardinals out of their disappointing pair of recent seasons, while Bosa – the second overall pick -will aim to validate himself as the true best player in the NFL Draft, all while solidifying a 49ers defense that has been building assets throughout the offseason.

Thanks to both players being taken by division rivals, we should have years of contests to see how they play out, which will only add fuel to the debate over which player is the best.
