Now, the 49ers have opted to pick up Juszczyk's “option for the 2023 through 2025 seasons,” according to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. As it stands, Juszczyk is tied with the 49ers until the 2025 season.

Whether in the air or on the ground, Juszczyk has proved to be a vital contributor for the 49ers over his run with the team so far. Under now-former 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel in the 2021 regular season, he notched 318 yards from scrimmage to go along with two total touchdowns. Not only was he a key talent on the field as both a pass and run blocker, but he was often a wild-card option for quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance to pick up crucial yards.
With Lance slated to receive the keys to anchor the 49ers offense in the 2022 season, he sure will be able to rely on Juszczyk as a safety blanket on the field.
