San Francisco 49ers star quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo wanted all of his “brothers” to attend the NFL draft with him. It was a complicated matter, so he came up with a unique way to make sure they could all attend.

John Wurm, who was Garoppolo's teammate at Eastern Illinois, told a story about how Garoppolo wanted all five of his housemates with him at the draft. Only immediate family is allowed in the green room. As a fix to the issue, the gunslinger listed all five housemates as his brothers, giving them all the last name Garoppolo.

According to Wurm, it blew commissioner Roger Goodell's mind that Jimmy Garoppolo had eight brothers (three real brothers and his five housemates.)

One of us was Juice Williams. He’s like a 6-6, 330 black dude. Obviously not Jimmy’s brother. But he was “Juice Garoppolo.” It was so funny. Roger Goodell came up, introduced himself and he was so stunned by that. We kept rotating name tags, because they only allowed a certain number of us in at once.

Once Jimmy explained to him, “these guys are my roommates and brothers, they’re just as excited as me to be here and I want them to be part of it,” Goodell thought it was the most incredible thing ever. He was like, “have ’em all be back here, I don’t want them to keep switching name tags.”

Goodell told Jimmy Garoppolo he was the only guy to ever try to bring former teammates in the Green Room. Moreover, he was actually impressed by the lengths he went to get his teammates to be with him to the point he allowed it.

Jimmy Garoppolo has always been considered a loyal guy, so it shouldn't be all that shocking he figured out a way to get some of his best friends to the draft with him.
