Star wide receiver Dez Bryant has found himself on the open market for the first time in his NFL career after he was released by the Dallas Cowboys on Friday morning after eight seasons. This has opened the door to several possibilities for his next landing spot.
Bryant had initially voiced a desire to stay within the NFC East in order to have the ability to face the Cowboys twice a year. However, Bryant appears to be leaning toward another team away from the division as he recently followed several Houston Texans players on Instagram.

The Texans could quickly enter the picture as the team has more than $32 million in salary cap space this offseason that will give them the ability to offer Bryant a lucrative deal that he may desire. He likely still wants to be paid similarly to what he was making during his time with the Cowboys.
Houston could be an intriguing landing spot as he and Pro Bowl wideout DeAndre Hopkins could form quite a formidable duo in the passing game for second-year quarterback Deshaun Watson. This would certainly elevate them to becoming a more explosive offense with two premier wide receivers that are legitimate big-play and red zone threats.
Although Bryant has struggled to produce at an elite level over the last three years without a single 1,000 receiving yard campaign in any season, he is still a highly-impactful offensive talent. Regardless of where he signs next, this change of scenery could help him rekindle his career by re-establishing himself as one of the top wideouts in the game.
The further that Bryant gets into the free agency process, the clearer the list of potential destinations will become. This could very well see the Texans be featured in the list of top suitors to acquire the 29-year-old this offseason on a lucrative deal.
