Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic put up his third triple-double of the season during a 115-108 win over the New York Knicks on New Year's Day, after flirting with the line several times during his 2018-19 campaign.

Teammate Gary Harris, who returned to the lineup after missing 11 games, wasn't very impressed with his center's stat line of 19 points, 14 rebounds and 15 assists, citing this is just routine work for the Serbian international.

“Another day at the office,” said Gary Harris, according to The Associated Press. “That's what he does. It's one of those days again.”

The Nuggets were challenged by the Knicks, but managed to pull away in time thanks to Jokic's tremendous vision and willingness to make the right pass at the right time to help his Nuggets overcome a two-point deficit entering the fourth quarter.

“As a young team, we accepted the challenge and got better tonight,” said Nuggets forward Paul Millsap.

Denver was challenged by a team that has yet to reach double-digit wins in the season, and besides Jokic's magical stat line, there wasn't much to take away from a win that helped the Nuggets cling on to the top spot in the West for another day.

“I'd much rather learn, teach, clean up after ugly wins than I would after tough losses,” head coach Mike Malone said before the game, referring to the team's poor late-game intensity. “That's the positive. We're finding ways to win when maybe we're not playing our `A' game.”

The Nuggets only hold a half-game lead over the Golden State Warriors in a fierce Western Conference and will play three of their next four games on the road, giving them a real test of their all-around mettle.
