The Denver Nuggets will be playing in the playoffs this season for the first time since 2013, but head coach Michael Malone says his group isn't satisfied with just making the postseason.

Malone, who has led his Nuggets to a first-place tie with the Golden State Warriors for the best record in the Western Conference standings, says Denver wants to make noise in the playoffs.

“I would much rather be a healthy and rested team going into the playoffs to give ourselves a chance to be a dangerous team in the playoffs,” Malone said, via TJ McBride of Mile High Sports. “We are not a team that is just satisfied with making it. We want to be a team that gets in there and makes noise.”

“It is so important going into that first weekend of the playoffs starting to be playing at a high level, having a rhythm, having confidence. As of late, we have won six in a row and I believe and we are doing that.

“Now, we have to sustain it.”

The Nuggets, led by star big man Nikola Jokic, figure to be a dangerous team in the playoffs despite having a roster which doesn't have a lot of players who have playoff experience other than Paul Millsap.

It's going to be fun to see Denver in the playoffs.
