Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone knows star big man Nikola Jokic needs to be more aggressive on offense for Denver to win games.

That's why Malone had a chat with Jokic and told the center he needs to take at least 15 shots on Saturday against the Orlando Magic:

The Nuggets are on a two-game losing streak. Jokic has shot the ball just 14 times in his last two games. That's far too low for a guy who is one of the best players in the league and the engine which drives Denver.

Jokic is averaging 15.0 points, 11.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game on the season. He's shooting 47.5 percent from the field, 21.4 percent from beyond the arc and 82.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Nuggets aren't going to sneak up anyone this season after having the second-best record in the Western Conference in 2018-19. For Denver to make it past the second round of the playoffs this season and ultimately compete for a championship, Jokic has to be more assertive on offense.

Denver has good depth, as Jokic is surrounded by Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, Paul Millsap and Jerami Grant. However, the Nuggets are going to go as far as Jokic can lead them and Malone needs his All-Star to look at the basket more, starting on Saturday in Orlando.
