To say that Michael Porter Jr. has been impressive in his second year with the Denver Nuggets is definitely an understatement. After showing his potential last season, the 22-year-old has developed into one of the team's main options on offense this season. He erupted for another 30-point performance against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, which is already his fourth 30-point game this campaign.

Porter's sophomore numbers have been historic. According to StatMuse, the Nuggets forward is the first player in NBA history to average 15 points and five rebounds on 50-40 shooting from the field. Just wow.

Michael Porter Jr. led the way for the Nuggets' sixth win in their last seven. He finished with a game-high 31 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field and added seven boards. The win helps Denver inch closer to the third spot in the West as the regular season winds down.

As much as the former 14th overall pick has been impressive, his incredible efficiency is what has really been standing out. MPJ has started all but seven games for Denver he's been available this season, and he has not been pulling back when it comes to his shots. If you're shooting at an efficient 54 percent from the field all season, why would you?

A lot of questions were raised when the Nuggets lost Jamal Murray a few weeks ago to a season-ending knee injury. Since Murray's absence, Porter has been Denver's go-to guy and it's clear that the team is more than comfortable in running their offense through him and their leading MVP candidate in Nikola Jokic.
