Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is unquestionably one of the top big men in the game today. However, as it turns out, the 23-year-old actually possesses some larger-than-life aspirations.

According to Jokic himself, his dream to be the great Michael Jordan.

“Michael Jordan,” Jokic said when asked about the type of player he want to evolve into, via Mark Kiszla of the Denver Post. “That’s who I want to be.”

The Joker quickly clarified his statement, saying that what he actually desires is to literally be in the shoes of the retired Chicago Bulls billionaire.

“No, I want to be Michael Jordan right now,” insisted Jokic, whose dream is to have the life and the $1.9 billion net worth Jordan enjoys right now, at age 56.

Jokic definitely has jokes. However, he was all business on Tuesday as he helped his side to another victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The All-Star big man scored 18 points on a characteristically efficient 9-of-14 from the floor, along with eight rebounds, seven assists and a block in Denver's 133-107 blowout win.

He did have his hands full, though, with Karl-Anthony Towns having a field day against the Nuggets defense which appeared to have no answer to the young Wolves star. Towns dropped a game-high 34 points (on 14-of-25 shooting), two three-pointers, 10 rebounds, three assists, and four blocks in an ultimately losing effort.

The victory moved the Nuggets to just one game behind the top-seeded Golden State Warriors. With how these two teams have been performing of late, it would not be surprising if Denver ends up snagging the top spot from the defending champs by the end of the regular season.
