The Denver Nuggets were in desperate need of a spark against the Milwaukee Bucks in the third quarter. Fortunately, point guard Jamal Murray was able to oblige.

Murray managed to throw down a vicious dunk over power forward DJ Wilson, sending the bench and the crowd into a frenzy.

Although the dunk will undoubtedly make its rounds on social media, it was ultimately called an offensive foul on Murray and the basket did not count. While there will continue to be debate about the call, there is no question that the play was just what the Nuggets needed to get the fans on their feet.

Meanwhile, the officials will certainly receive their fair share of criticism for making the call on such a controversial dunk. Their performance has served as one of the more tumultuous headlines of the 2019-20 NBA season, so it is safe to say that will not be getting any positive reviews from the Nuggets and Jamal Murray any time soon.
