Nikola Jokic put on his hero cape for the Denver Nuggets and saved the team against the Philadelphia 76ers.

With the Sixers leading 97-96 with less than 10 seconds remaining in the game, the Sertbian All-Star stepped up for the Nuggets and drilled the game-winning shot to stun the visitors.

As Paul Millsap failed to get a better position for the final shot and scrambled from the Sixers' defense, Jokic found himself with some space. When the 24-year-old center got the ball, he quickly released it for the win.

Interestingly, it wasn't also the best shot for Jokic, as he fell after the shot. However, it was the results that matter.

The Nuggets went on to win 100-97, with Jokic finishing with 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

Joel Embiid showed up in the elite showdown of big men, finishing with 19 points, 15 boards and two assists to lead the way for the Sixers. However, it is not enough as the other starters struggled.

It didn't help the Sixers that they were without All-Star point-forward Ben Simmons, who was ruled out as he nurses a shoulder injury.

Jamal Murray and Will Barton also stepped up big time for the Nuggets. Murray scored 22 points on top of 11 assists and five rebounds, while Barton had 20 markers to go along with seven boards and one dime.
