The 94th Academy Awards will be remembered for a lot of things, but mostly because of The Slap Heard ‘Round The World of Will Smith that landed straight into the face of comedian Chris Rock on stage — at the Oscars. While what Smith did to Rock is now being immortalized by the internet, any animosity between the two men did not even seem to last a day, if you believe what Sean Combs AKA Diddy said to Page Six.

“That’s not a problem. That’s over. I can confirm that,” Diddy, 52, told us of the beef without elaborating on further details of how Smith, 53, and Rock, 57, had reconciled.

“It’s all love,” he added. “They’re brothers.”

There have been countless controversial moments caught in the history of television, a medium that is believed to be on its way out of the mainstream, but what Smith did Sunday night at the Oscars was, in a way, a message to everyone that just when we thought we have seen it all, there will always be something that would happen to change that perspective.

Perhaps even crazier is that Smith would come back on the stage after The Slap to receive his Oscars award for Best Actor. There's probably nothing more 2022 than that. Then again, the year is still young.
