This is another big blow to the Broncos, who lost quarterback Drew Lock and cornerback Davontae Harris following last week's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Broncos have also been without running back Phillip Lindsay, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and linebacker Bradley Chubb.
Casey was already on the injury report last week with an elbow issue going into Week 3, but now with the biceps tear, it looks as though his season is over. The Broncos were not expected to be a contender going into the season, but now with all of the injuries on both sides of the ball, it makes the team's work much harder.
Article Continues BelowThe 2020 season has already started with a rash of injuries on both sides of the ball. Some of the more notable names that are out for extended periods of time include Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffery, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley, and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and defensive end Nick Bosa.
While not a good sign for the league at all, the rash of injuries is not surprising with the limited training camp and lack of preseason games this season due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Considering the amount already less than a quarter through the season, the 2020 season may end up being the most injury-prone season in NFL history.
