The Milwaukee Bucks fell to their 10th loss of the season on Monday night on the road against the Boston Celtics.
It featured Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo dropping a game-high 40 points, which made him the only player in the league to record three 40-point outings so far this season. Following the contest, Antetokounmpo took the time on social media to acknowledge the support he received from many Greek fans that were in attendance.
I want to thank the 2 thousand Greeks that showed up to the game tonight and supported me and my team! I counted like 15 greek flags🇬🇷🇬🇷 at the game tonight. 💪🏾💪🏾

In the last few seasons, Antetokounmpo has become quite an immensely popular player not only in the United States but in his home country of Greece. This has also seen him become the face of the Greek men's national team as former team captain Vangelis Mantzaris over the summer passed the torch to him to take over the reigns in that role.
Antetokounmpo has represented his country in several international events that include the 2013 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship, 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, EuroBasket 2015, and the 2016 Turin FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
The 22-year-old has become one of the league's most talented players currently on pace for a career-best campaign averaging 29.9 points on 54.8 percent shooting from the field with 10.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game. He is currently one of three players in the league alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis averaging at least 25.0 points and shooting greater than 50 percent from the field.
