L.A. Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan is sidelined for today's home game against the Sacramento Kings due to a left ankle sprain. According to ClutchPoints' Tomer Azarly, Doc Rivers confirmed Jordan will not play today:

This is the first game Jordan will miss this season. He injured his left ankle midway during the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Kings in Sacramento. He left the court limping and did not return to the game. Jordan was listed as day-to-day yesterday and did not rule out the possibility of playing. Given the injury occurred less than 48 hours before today's rematch against the Kings it was going to be hard for him to play.

After dunking over Skal Labissiere, Jordan fell awkwardly over his ankle, and it looked quite bad. Here is the moment it happened, courtesy of Ball Is Life:

Add Jordan to the seemingly never-ending Clippers injury report this season. Milos Teodosic, Partrick Beverley, Danilo Gallinari, Austin Rivers and Blake Griffin, some of the most important pieces in the team, have missed a lot of games due to different injuries. These five players have combined to appear in only 93 out of 205 games. After trading away Chris Paul, getting strong assets in return and signing a couple of free agents, the Clippers surprisingly put themselves in a good position to compete for a playoff spot. Injuries have derailed the team's success though, and they will have to wait until next year to have the whole group together.

Jordan is not expected to miss much time. He could return as early as Monday, against the Rockets, or Wednesday against the Nuggets.
