LeBron James is far from being available for the Los Angeles Lakers, but the Purple and Gold could have another player back in swingman Talen Horton-Tucker.

Tucker, who has been sidelined for some time now after undergoing thumb surgery during the preseason, has been listed as “probable” to play against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. This means there's a great chance he suits up for the Lakers and make his season debut.

LeBron James is dealing with an abdominal strain that has kept him sidelined from the Lakers' past five games. Recent reports said he's “progressing nicely” and has returned to on-court basketball activities, but it's still unknown when he'll be back since there is no specific timetable laid out for his recovery.

With that said, the presence of Talen Horton-Tucker gives the Lakers a massive boost as they look for another scoring option behind Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook. The LA franchise went 2-3 in the games with LeBron, so it's quite clear they need more help as they try to figure things out with their new players.

THT averaged 9.0 points on 48.6 percent shooting in his second year with the Lakers in 2020-21, but with a more prominent role, he should be able to increase his numbers. Besides, he has shown Frank Vogel and Co. flashes of what he is capable of and what he can do offensively.
