Three esports giant organizations are out of the running towards a spot for the first main event of VCT 2022 in NA region. T1, TSM, and FaZe Clan Valorant rosters are out of VCT NA's qualifiers for Challengers 1 of VCT. TSM was a shocker for most as they were one clear favorite to reach at least the first stage of VCT NA Qualifiers. After having T1 and FaZe Clan's roster entirely changed, this outcome was not really a surprise due to having the teams still building on their own chemistry. This was already the 2nd VCT NA Qualifiers so they are officially out of the running. They will have another chance on VCT Challengers 2 after the conclusion of Challengers 1 and first Masters.

During the 1st VCT NA Qualifiers, T1 and TSM almost reached the main event. They fell short against Rise having a 0-2 sweep, going down to the lower bracket. In the lower bracket, T1 were up against TSM, winning the first map however they were caught having their coach communicating via text chat. This entitled them to a forfeit for the entire match, having themselves eliminated from the first VCT NA Qualifiers. After TSM's automatic win against T1, they were swept 0-2 against Akrew, not making it to the final round to qualify for a spot at VCT Challengers 1 main event.

All three organizations made it past the single-eliminations of the second open qualifier however T1 and FaZe Clan failed to qualify on Round 3 of the qualifiers. Both of them lost to Virtuoso and Ghost Gaming, putting them to the lower bracket, also falling short against Cosmic Divide and Andbox. Andbox took FaZe Clan's map pick, Breeze, convincingly with a score of 13 to 6 having a strong Attacker side, FaZe clan couldn't answer. FaZe Clan however responded with taking Andbox's map pick, Fracture, almost doing the same thing to the first map with a score of 13 to 6. They also had a strong Attacker side, same situation as the first map. FaZe Clan however didn't get to play on the final map, Bind, where they got stomped as Andbox's Attacker side was too strong. They only took all pistol and 2nd rounds of each half having a score of 13 to 5 ending their run for VCT NA Challengers 1 main event.

T1 on the other hand had a great start dominating Cosmic Divide with a clean 13-4 score to start off in Icebox. The following maps however were disappointing for the T1 squad as they were stomped by Cosmic Divide on Haven and Bind with a score of 5-13 and 7-13 respectively. Fans were confused as the Duelist player “seven” performed really well during map 1 but was quiet the entire run after.

TSM on the other hand had a great start earlier defeating Complexity with a 2-1 score in the lower bracket, after being sent down by Ghost Gaming in the upper bracket. TSM however got squashed by Built By Gamers 0-2 as their former teammate Sean “bang” Bezerra eliminate them entirely from the event.

T1 and FaZe Clan completely built entirely new rosters for VCT centering each team with a key player. T1 brought in in-game leader Joshua “steel” Nissan, giving him a roster full of young talents. FaZe Clan made their roster around duelist babybay, having imported players from 100 Thieves and Immortals.

All three organizations are eliminated from VCT NA Challengers 1. T1, TSM, and FaZe Clan have to wait for Challengers 2 in order for them to have a shot at going all the way to Champions at the end of the year. In the meantime, they can practice more with their newly formed teams and build chemistry with each other to dominate the NA scene.
