Malcolm Brogdon speaks out on Pacers’ chemistry despite mounting injuries
Malcolm Brogdon and the Indiana Pacers got off to a horrific 0-3 start to being the season. Thankfully, they seem to already be righting the ship as they have rattled off three straight wins to get back to .500.
Even though we are just six games into the season, the Pacers have already been getting slammed by the injury bug. Myles Turner went down with an ankle injury that has him week-to-week, while Edmond Sumner is missing time due to a hand injury. Domantas Sabonis missed the team’s latest game against the Chicago Bulls due to a calf contusion as well.
While things aren’t going smoothly on the injury front, the team seems to be growing. Brogdon took the time to speak out about the team’s growing chemistry despite the mounting number of injuries they have.
Malcolm Brogdon on how the #Pacers have gelled despite a series of injuries: "Just relying on each other. We've got a great coach, great coaching staff and we've got terrific guys on this team, so we're excited to keep winning." pic.twitter.com/Nda6dO7OHi

Brogdon was the Pacers’ major offseason addition via a sign-and-trade with the Milwaukee Bucks. Indiana gave up a lot to get him, but he has made the deal more than worth it so far. He has taken over a leadership role with Victor Oladipo still recovering from the ruptured quad he suffered last year.
Indiana still has a lot of work to do. They are wanting to be legitimate contenders in the Eastern Conference, but they aren’t at that level yet. However, Brogdon and the rest of the Pacers are more than capable of working their way up to that level of play.
All of that being said, things are pointing in the right direction for the Pacers. Brogdon is playing at an All-Star caliber level and the chemistry is going. If Indiana is able to get and stay healthy and then get Oladipo back on the court, the sky is the limit.
