The Dallas Mavericks traded Harrison Barnes to the Sacramento Kings, but it wasn't without controversy. During the Mavs' game against the Charlotte Hornets, news broke out that Barnes will be heading to Sac-Town, and it all happened while he was on the bench. Several NBA players have aired their sentiments about what happened on social media, including the Indiana Pacers' Thaddeus Young, who seem to be irked by the idea that Barnes was dealt in the middle of the game.

He's not the only player who reacted negatively to what happened with Barnes. Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James posted his thoughts on Instagram, saying that he's okay if NBA teams trade their players because it's part of the business, but that the narrative about players wanting to leave their teams should be seen the same way and not as an act of disloyalty.

However, there were reports that Barnes already knew even before the game began that he could be traded, but still decided to play for the Mavs anyway. When the news was officially released, he was taken out and he immediately headed to the locker room.

Barnes showed professionalism despite everything that happened. He also showed loyalty to the Mavs, who once saw him as a part of their future when they signed him a couple of years ago.

Now, the 26-year-old guard will serve as a veteran leader of a young Kings squad who is still trying to make the playoffs this season.

Once again, a brand new start for Barnes.
