The Carolina Panthers are preparing for Thursday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without the help of pass rusher Bruce Irvin, who has been deemed out for the game, according to the team's latest injury report. Tight end Greg Olsen is questionable.

Irvin has missed the entire week with a lingering hamstring issue. Olsen, on the other hand, was a go for Wednesday's practice despite dealing with a back injury. With the tight end practicing on Wednesday, it's fair to assume he'll be available for Thursday. Irvin did not play Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.

On Tuesday, Olsen discussed his injury status for the game, per the Panthers' official website:

“It's also the aftermath [in injuries] that's the worst. But, big picture, it's not that big of a deal. Short week obviously isn't ideal, but we'll make it work… You could have used those extra days, but it's the way it goes. Every team has to go through it [Thursday night games], thankfully, ours came a little early when you still kind of got your legs. So, you make it work.”

Olsen, despite wishing he had extra days to recover, is going through it and is primed to play Week 2 against a division rival. So are left tackle Greg Little and running back Christian McCaffrey, who have been taken off the injury report. Safety Rashaan Gaulden is questionable for the game and was limited on Wednesday.
