The Carolina Panthers are on a roll, having won all of their last four games, but they probably have to try extending their win streak this Sunday against the New Orleans Saints minus two key contributors to their offense. According to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, both tight end Greg Olsen and rookie running back Christian McCaffrey are listed as questionable for the Saints game.

Olsen returned to the field after missing eight weeks of action due to a foot injury last Sunday against the New York Jets, but was taken out in the second half after aggravating the same foot injury. While tests done on Olsen after the game didn’t show anything the Panthers should be concerned about, the 32-year-old Olsen was held out of Carolina’s three practices this week.

Panthers head coach Ron River could also just be being extra cautious of his veteran tight end, but in case Olsen gets ruled ultimately ruled out for Sunday’s contest, Ed Dickson will take his place in the starting lineup.

As for McCaffrey, the former Stanford Cardinal didn’t join the team during Wednesday’s practice session, but was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday. According to Alper, McCaffrey is optimistic he’ll be able to play against the Saints.

Olsen only has four catches for 38 yards this season, while McCaffrey has 268 and 468 rushing and receiving yards, respectively, to go with five total touchdowns in 11 games thus far this year.
