Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey will be out for another game against the Denver Broncos for Week 14 action due to a quad injury, as per ESPN‘s Adam Schefter. The former Stanford product has previously missed several games this season and is already itching to get back to the field and contribute to his team in the closing stages of the season.

McCaffrey has only appeared in three games this season, with his most recent appearance being in an encounter against the Kansas City Chiefs back in Week 9 of the season. He chalked up 69 rushing yards on 18 carries and a touchdown in the Panthers' 33-31 defeat.

The team has been greatly missing the Pro Bowler's services as they went on to lose two of their next three games leading up to Week 14. In Week 12 before their bye, the Panthers suffered another painful loss at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings.

Their rushing attack hasn't been felt by their opponents without McCaffrey at the helm. Against the Vikings, ball-carrier Mike Davis already led the team with 55 yards on 15 carries followed by Rodney Smith who tallied 18 yards on seven touches.

The Panthers went on to lose a tightly-contested affair on a 28-27 outcome to slide to a 4-8 record and fourth in the NFC South division. On the opposite side of the field, the Broncos haven't been performing at their best either as they enter the matchup with a two-game losing skid and an identical 4-8 win-loss tally.

Christian McCaffrey's participation in their remaining games will hopefully serve as an encouraging sign for the Panthers as they are already looking ahead to next year's campaign.
