As if losing in the Super Bowl wasn’t bad enough for New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, as he arrived back home, he discovered that his house had been robbed.

Talk about adding insult to injury, right?

But it appears that at least one of the culprits will be brought to justice. Police in Foxboro has announced that they have made one arrest in the case, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

The suspect is 31-year-old, Anthony Almeida. The police have also identified two additional suspects, 26-year-old Shayne Denn and 28-year-old Eric Tyrrell. They are hoping to get some help from the public in apprehending them.

Almeida has been charged with breaking and entering, receiving stolen property, and malicious destruction of property.

So far, an Apple watch, Rolex and a couple of rare coins have been recovered.

This has been a relatively quiet offseason for Gronkowski. In the past, there would have been a few pics of him partying somewhere with friends and acting foolish. Instead, after talking about retirement following the Super Bowl, he has remained suspiciously out of the headlines.

In recent weeks, he has made a few cryptic tweets. At least, they have been described as “cryptic” since people are trying to read into anything in order to gain insight into his intentions for next season. They could simply be non-sensical ramblings. Maybe, just maybe, they don't mean anything at all.

People tend to do that on social media from time to time. At least, if he does so anytime in the near future, his wrist will be wearing his Apple watch or Rolex.
