New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton was bashed by former NFL gunslinger Jeff Garcia on Sunday after the Pats got destroyed by the San Francisco 49ers.

Garcia ripped Newton for his gameday attire, saying that the Patriots QB is bringing too much attention to himself despite playing awful on the football field. Newton threw three picks against the 49ers and was benched by head coach Bill Belichick.

During an appearance on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show” on Monday, Newton responded to Garcia.

“You know what’s crazy? I agree with him,” Patriots QB Cam Newton said about Jeff Garcia, via Yahoo Sports.

“And the fact that he’s a former player, he has every right to say that. And until that happens, so be it. But that’s another opinionated theory, and it’s fair to say. I know I come off to so many different people so many different ways, and that’s fine. You know what, he’s exactly right. But I’m not changing the way I dress. I’m sorry.

“I don’t know Jeff, but I would say this: I do certain things because of the culture I’m from. And where I’m from — I don’t know where Jeff is from, and I don’t want to harp on it too long — but let’s just say he’s right.”

While Newton has been terrible with the Patriots this season, Garcia was out of line with his comments.

Players are allowed to wear whatever they want to games. Newton has always expressed himself through his fashion and that shouldn't change just because he's not playing well on the football field for the Patriots.

New England will take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 8 in what is a must-win game for Newton and Co.
