Twins in the NFL are rare, and it just so happens that Devin McCourty and Jason McCourty have been New England Patriots teammates for the past two seasons. While that may change moving forward, the twins want to continue playing in the NFL.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport's podcast RapSheet + Friends revealed that the McCourty twins have expressed their intentions to play next year. They also made it clear that they don't have to suit up for the Patriots in order to play their football:

Devin has spent his entire career with the Patriots, playing there ever since being selected with the 27th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Jason had to wait until the sixth round before being picked up by the Tennessee Titans, but he managed to cut a niche in the team, staying there for eight years. He spent one year with the Cleveland Browns before joining his brother in 2018.

The two of them were vital to the Patriots' outstanding defense this season. Devin had 58 tackles, one fumble recovery, two forced fumbles, seven pass deflections, and five interceptions to his name. Meanwhile, Jason finished with 39 tackles, six pass deflections, and an interception in the 12 games he played.

If they don't return to the Patriots, they could look to head back home to New York. MetLife Stadium is about 40 minutes away from their hometown of Nyack, NY.

We'll just have to wait and see where the McCourty twins end up, and if they wind up staying as teammates.
