The New England Patriots are preparing for life after Tom Brady and it'll be tough to replace the success he brought to the franchise. While Jason McCourty is confident in the current roster, he revealed one necessary adjustment the team will need to make following Brady's departure.

McCourty made an appearance on ESPN's First Take to speak about how the Patriots can move forward without Brady:

“Tom doesn't have to say anything. As soon as he walks in, everyone's watching the way he works, the way he prepares,” McCourty said. “So I think not having him will be an adjustment. I think that's what our league is — change, and how you adapt and are able to move on from it.”

Throughout his 20 seasons with the Patriots, Brady would make 14 Pro Bowls, secure three NFL MVP trophies, and was a three-time All-Pro. Above all, Brady would lead the organization to nine Super Bowls, winning six of them.

Provided that, Brady's resume speaks for itself and he commands the respect of a locker room without needing to say much. The veteran cornerback, who had his option for the 2020 season picked up by New England, pointed out that the Patriots still have plenty of veterans on the roster. Still, he also realizes that replacing Brady's leadership and work ethic is going to be a tall task.

Since Brady's exit in free agency, members of the Patriots have expressed their confidence in Jarrett Stidham moving forward. Nevertheless, McCourty understands that it will take a group effort to fill the void left behind by Brady.
