The New England Patriots have had their fair share of struggles moving the ball and the last thing they need is injuries to remove playmakers from their offense. Luckily for them, both Julian Edelman and Mohamed Sanu are expected to play on Sunday versus the Kansas City Chiefs, per Ian Rapoport.

For over a month, Edelman has been making an appearance on New England's injury report. First, it was a rib injury, and now the veteran pass-catcher has been nursing a shoulder injury.

Nevertheless, Edelman hasn't missed any games and is having one of the best years of his career. In 12 games, Edelman has managed to catch 82 passes for 915 yards and five touchdowns.

Given those numbers, Edelman is on pace to complete the season with 109 receptions, 1,220 yards, and nearly seven touchdowns. That is assuming that Tom Brady's favorite target doesn't sit out later in the season.

As for Sanu, the versatile wide receiver sustained an ankle injury in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Sanu was forced to miss the Patriots' next game versus the Dallas Cowboys.

Last week, Sanu returned to the offense but was extremely limited in his time on the field. As a matter of fact, Sanu only saw 19 offensive snaps against the Houston Texans. That was easily the fewest he's seen since joining the Patriots in Week 8.

Ever since he was traded to New England, Sanu has been unable to carve out a consistent role in the offense. But with him getting back to health, the Patriots might be able to begin using him in various ways moving forward.
