ESPN's Adam Schefter offered news on Monday about the former Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller, who has agreed to a deal with the New England Patriots, pending a physical. Schefter reports that Miller claims he has fully recovered and is ready to play this season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) one year ago.

This news came on the heels of a notable NFL transaction: Super-agent Drew Rosenhaus divulged that Miller and the New England Patriots just came to terms on an agreement for a one-year deal, pending a physical.

Overall, the move was greeted by mixed reactions from the Twitter world, ranging from ecstatic Patriots fans who loved the acquisition, to others who showed their disappointment and pessimism — they felt other deals could have been made instead of this particular one.

The 29-year old Lamar Miller suffered the devastating injury during last season's preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys which forced him to miss the entire 2019 season. The Patriots will now look to take a flyer on him with the hopes that he can provide a good boost to the team, as long as his injury is 100% accounted for.

However, even if Lamar Miller personally insists that he has fully healed from the aforementioned injury, the contract is still dependent on the results of the upcoming physical.
