The New England Patriots got a special visitor on Wednesday during their OTAs. Five-time NBA champion and Los Angeles Lakers legend, Kobe Bryant, made a surprise visit to the team's facility, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

The New England Patriots returned to work Wednesday for their fourth voluntary organized team activity, and they were greeted by a celebrity guest from a different sport: Kobe Bryant.

While adjusting to life off the basketball court, Bryant has been keeping himself busy with his company, Kobe Inc. The former Lakers star has been doing the rounds with interviews, projects, and motivational speeches while enjoying retirement. Patriots players got to soak up the knowledge from the future NBA Hall of Famer, via Reiss.

Bryant's presence excited several players, some of whom posted pictures of themselves with Bryant on social media. Said one player of Bryant's presence, “Just hanging out and dropping some knowledge.”

Last year, Bryant met with his beloved Philadelphia Eagles while they were in California to play the Los Angeles Rams. The Eagles ironically went on to beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl with Nick Foles leading the way after Carson Wentz went down against the Rams.

Along with recently winning an Academy Award for an animated short about his life, Bryant announced this week that he's working on a book about the way he played the game called, “The Mamba Mentality: How I Play”. Kobe's book is set to be released around when the 2018-19 NBA season gets underway in October.
