When the New England Patriots traded running back Sony Michel to the Los Angeles Rams ahead of the season, it was clear that the team was going to be relying on Damien Harris as their go-to running back this year. So far this season, Harris is making the most out of his opportunities on the field.

After a promising performance against the Miami Dolphins last week, Harris once again shined for the Patriots in their Week 2 clash with the New York Jets.

With the Patriots looking to further open up their lead against the Jets, Harris orchestrated arguably the best touchdown run of his career to date. Multiple Jets defenders attempted to halt his run, but Harris still steamrolled on by for a key 26-yard rushing touchdown.

As mentioned, Harris had one strong outing against the Dolphins in Week 1. Although he did have one crucial fumble in the fourth quarter, the third-year running back recorded at least 100 rushing yards for the fourth time in his career.

The Patriots sure will continue to call upon Harris in critical downs over the course of this season, especially as they aim to balance out the offense for rookie quarterback Mac Jones. This task is one that Harris is much capable of taking on.
