Randy Moss played with Tom Brady as a member of the New England Patriots, but he believes with Cam Newton, the offense is going to be a lot more exciting.

Making an appearance on ESPN's Get Up, Moss made it very clear that it wasn't a knock on Brady, but he believed with Newton able to run the ball, it's really going to open up the rest of the offense:

“I think we are really getting ready to see how fun that offense can really be,” Moss said. “Not discrediting anything Tom accomplished because he accomplished some great things, but I think being able to have a guy like Cam Newton that can run the ball, they are able to spread guys out, and then being able to be that viable threat in the passing game that he can just tuck the ball and run.”

Moss believes that the Patriots do have a fun offense, but some of those parts were just hidden with Brady at quarterback. Obviously Brady ran the offense to a high level, but some of the offense was limited because Brady's inability to run the ball:

“I just think what we have seen coming out of New England for the past, let’s say 20 years, there is going to be a change in New England,” Moss continued. “But I think we are going to see them have a lot more fun out there and Cam Newton is going to give them that opportunity for the fans, not just the New England Patriots fans, but the football fans around the world to really see how fun this offense can really be.”

There is no guarantee that Newton is going to be the starting quarterback, but if he does, it will be fascinating to see how the offense changes with his ability to run.

It's going to look a little different, but the hope is that Newton can continue to run the offense at a high level and continue to lead the Patriots to success.
