The New England Patriots have been under the microscope over the past couple of days due to another possible scandal connected to the Cincinnati Bengals. Ahead of the NFL's ownership meetings, Robert Kraft won't address New England's latest controversy.

Following Sunday's defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Patriots were accused by the Cincinnati Bengals of videotaping their sideline. The Bengals sighted a person with a shirt sporting the Patriots' logo and immediately notified the NFL.

Since then, New England has explained that it was an honest mistake that Cincinnati had not been notified of a team's scout being at the Cleveland Browns/Bengals game on Sunday. The reason they gave was that the scout was in Cleveland to help shoot a video that would feature on New England's series named “Do Your Job”.

The representatives from the Patriots got credentialed by the Browns' public relations staff. But at the same time, they failed to do the same with Cincinnati's public relations group.

Regardless of whether or not the Patriots attempted to videotape the Bengals' sideline on purpose, most people are going to assume that they are guilty. That is due to New England already being penalized for videotaping a team back in 2007.

Of course, that was the time when the Patriots were found recording the New York Jets. The situation was notoriously named “Spygate” and New England was fined $750,000 as a result.

This time around, it appears that the Patriots' story checks out for now. It just doesn't help that the team that is accusing them is the Bengals, whom New England faces in Week 15.

Robert Kraft just hopes his team will win on Sunday. Losing would be a case of adding injury to insult.
