Tom Brady and the New England Patriots are once again viewed as a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the AFC. While they are usually considered the favorites in their conference, there are a couple other teams that appear to be legitimate contenders as well. Those two teams are the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Despite the fact that the Patriots will have some competition, Brady is confident in his team. The offense is strong and Brady doesn't think that it has come close to reaching its ceiling.

In an interview with WEEI, Brady opened up about the offense and what he thinks the future holds for them.

“I think we’re still figuring out what we’re good at. At this point we haven’t had everyone together for that long. Now that Josh is on the team and all of the receivers are really contributing. The tight ends are contributing. The backs, Sony [Michel] missed all of training camp. It’s just kind of figuring out where we go from here and that’s a good opportunity for us. We’re five games into the year and we have a lot of football left. I think we all believe our best football is ahead of us.”

New England finally has a fully healthy offense around Brady. Julian Edelman is back on the field after serving a four-game suspension and Rob Gronkowski is also playing at a high level. Josh Gordon was acquired a few weeks back and is making plays for the Patriots as well.

Throughout the first five games of the 2018 season, Brady has completed 67.6 percent of his pass attempts for 1,259 yards, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

At 41 years old, Brady is without question one of the top two quarterbacks in the NFL. Aaron Rodgers is the only other quarterback currently in the conversation for best in the league.

Expect to see the Patriots' offense continue to improve throughout the remainder of the season. Brady has more talent to work with than he has had the last few years and it will show.
