The New England Patriots made quick work of the Tennessee Titans last week in the AFC divisional round. Unfortunately, they were not able to make it out unscathed.

It was previously reported that Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice for undisclosed reasons. However, the latest report from NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport states that Brady is currently nursing an injury to his right hand:

Patriots QB Tom Brady was limited during practice today with a right-hand injury. Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee were limited.

While the news may come as a bit of a concern since it is Brady's throwing hand, the injury is not believed to be severe. At this point in the season, it is understandable why New England is taking all the precautions they can.

Needless to say, all the rumored turmoil that had reportedly transpired within the Patriots organization throughout the 2017 season has not affected their performance on the field. The 40-year-old Brady was at his best against the Titans last Saturday,  throwing for 337 yards and three touchdowns. That said, it is still unclear at which point he may have aggravated his hand.

Meanwhile, New England's backfield tandem of Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee were also only able to finish a portion of Wednesday's practice. Burkhead has missed the last several weeks while dealing with a knee injury, but he could play this Sunday against Jacksonville. It goes without saying that the Patriots will need all the help they can get against a Jaguars defense that is regarded by some to be the best in the league.
