The New England Patriots don't have much time left to celebrate being the reigning Super Bowl champs. Fortunately, it seems quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Julian Edelman are already anxious to defend their title.

It has been quite an eventful offseason for the Patriots. Edelman made it clear that he is looking forward to getting back to work with his teammates with a post via Instagram.

Brady was sure to respond in the comments to Edelman's post.

“I'm ready.”

There is certainly good reason for both players to be excited. Although most teams are usually concerned about avoiding the dreaded Super Bowl hangover, it is safe to say that the Patriots have become immune to this affliction over the years.

Of course, this is largely due to the fact that they are headed by the most successful pairing in NFL history with Brady and head coach Bill Belichick. Their success is made much easier with key players like Edelman forming quite the rapport with their star quarterback. His stellar performance in Super Bowl LIII earned him MVP honors.

Despite their success, the Patriots have had to deal with the prospect of a potential decline in the years to come. As dominant as the duo of Brady and Edelman is, there is no question that they are in the final stretches of their career. New England's window of opportunity will continue to close with each season. Regardless, it is safe to say that both players are looking forward to putting off the inevitable one year at a time.
