While most of the recent conversations surrounding the New England Patriots have revolved around the team's offense, it was the defense that took over on Sunday evening against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady certainly came to play as the Patriots scored a whopping 33 points in the Week 1 win, the team's defense held the always dangerous Steelers to a mere three points.

As a result of the well-rounded effort, Brady couldn't be more excited about New England's defensive prowess heading into Week 2.

“I'm really excited about how our defense has been playing,” Brady said of the team's defense on a recent appearance on The Greg Hill Show, via Mike Reiss of ESPN. “I've been going against them every day for the last six weeks. I realize the challenge it is to complete passes on them. They give you a lot of looks.”

Even so, it is hard not to still talk about the Patriots offense these days as the 42-year-old Brady continues to impress from under center despite his age. In addition to Brady at quarterback, the team is currently sporting the likes of Demaryius Thomas, Julian Edelman, Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon, Phillip Dorsett and injured rookie N'Keal Harry at the wide receiver position. Not only that, but the Patriots have a litany of talent at tight end as well while also housing the trio of James White, Sony Michel, and Rex Burkhead at running back.

The 1-0 Patriots will take on the lowly Miami Dolphins come Week 2.
