Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, formerly of the New England Patriots, has enjoyed countless memorable performances throughout his illustrious career. However, it seems none of them top his efforts in Week 11 against the Buffalo Bills during the 2007 NFL season.

The Patriots scored on their first seven offensive possessions as Brady finished the game having completed 31-of-39 passes for 373 yards, five touchdowns and a passer rating of 146.1. He reminisced on the performance as the best of his career during an episode of Apple TV+’s “Greatness Code, via Nicole Yang of Boston.com:

“I almost giggle every time I think about that game,” Brady said. “Because ever since that game, I’m still trying to get back to that point. Because in so many ways, for me, it was a perfect night.” Brady continued: “I don’t think many people would ever think about that game when they think about my career. I don’t think people would go, ‘Man, that Sunday night Buffalo Bills game, that was the one.’ But for me, when I think about it — and I’ve got this big catalog of games — I think, ‘Yep, that was the one.’”

Brady admits that the game with the Patriots often goes overlooked as one of his all-time performances.

“I don’t think many people would ever think about that game when they think about my career. I don’t think people would go, ‘Man, that Sunday night (Patriots) Buffalo Bills game, that was the one.’ But for me, when I think about it — and I’ve got this big catalog of games — I think, ‘Yep, that was the one.'”

Brady's comments are certainly understandable considering all the spectacular outings he has put on throughout the course of two decades with the Patriots. After all, he has been a part of some legendary moments such as the 28-3 comeback against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI or even his six-touchdown game against the Tennessee Titans during a blizzard.

Regardless, it is hard to argue with a 56-10 rout over an AFC East rival in which the Patriots clicked on all cylinders. Brady is now set to start a new chapter with the Bucs that could also feature some notable performances in the making.

Although the prospect of any game coming close to that Patriots masterpiece for Brady may seem far-fetched, only time will tell what awaits for him in Tampa.
