Seeing how football fans react to the mere mention of Tom Brady will tell you which teams they support. However, everyone will agree that one of the greatest men to ever throw the football is the last person they would connect to Antonio Brown's undying helmet issues.

However, there's more to Brady than meets the eye.

NBC Sports' Justin Leger revealed that Brady still has his worries with the league's new helmet rules. He shared his thoughts with Tom E. Curran on Quick Slants the Podcast:

“I've been wearing the same thing for, you know, forever,” he said. “You get used to one thing, one feel … this [helmet] is a pound heavier, so it's 25 percent heavier on your head. That takes a lot of getting used to. I wish it was lighter. I tried to make it lighter and they couldn't make it lighter.

“I mean, add 25 percent to everything. Add 25 percent to your pen, or 25 percent smaller keys on your keyboard, and tell me how that feels. It's a little different.”

His revelation is a peek to how the New England star plays his football. He also has a specific standard with his shoulder pads as well:

“I've worn them for 25 years,” Brady said. “They've gotten reconditioned a little bit, but I think once you find something you like, you kind of stick with it. I've always kind of liked the way they felt, the shape of them. People have tried to put me in a lot of other ones.”

Fortunately for him, the league hasn't tried to tear him away from his beloved pads. It will take a while for him to get used to the heavier helmets. However, there's no doubt that he will still be the deadly accurate QB defenses fear.

Even at the age of 42, Brady is still among the very best quarterbacks in the league. And much like how he adjusts to opposing defenses every single week, he will also adjust to his new, heavy helmet in time.

Pats fans should be comfortable that their star will perform as usual.
