The New England Patriots thoroughly enjoyed the likeness of Tom Brady steering the ship for nearly two decades. When Brady decided to leave New England, he had his fair share of suitors. Now, it turns out that the Patriots had a fear of one AFC East rival attempting to bring Brady on board.

It turns out that the Miami Dolphins were attempting to snag Brady.

“According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Patriots “had very real concerns” early in the 2020 offseason that Brady — the quarterback who helped lead them to 20 years of dominance and all six of their Super Bowl titles — would sign with the Miami Dolphins once he entered into free agency.”

Wow. Could you imagine if Brady did end up going to Miami? The Patriots would have had to deal with Brady twice a year– potentially more in the playoffs– and Brian Flores, a Bill Belichick disciple, would have enjoyed throwing that in his face.

Well, Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it turned out to be a great decision as they won the Super Bowl and should be one of the run-away favorites to win the Super Bowl in Los Angeles in 2022.

One can only imagine how things turned out if he signed with the Dolphins, and that is not exactly what Miami fans want to hear.
