Every season it seems like the media and fans alike begin to say that Tom Brady is going to start declining. Then, like clockwork, those same people are proven wrong each and every time.

According to ProFootballTalk, the New England Patriots quarterback was seen running a faster 40-yard dash time than when he ran it at the NFL scouting combine. In the video, a shirtless Brady is clocked in at 5.17 seconds for the 40-yard dash.

The 5.17 seconds may not be impressive to people like D.K. Metcalf who ran it in 4.33 seconds, but Brady is about to turn 42-years old in a month. Also, the 5.17 seconds is faster than his 40-yard dash time from the 2000 NFL Scouting Combine.

In 2000, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback ran his 40-yard dash in 5.28 seconds. The 41-year old Brady also looks like he's in way better shape than he was in the year 2000. Teams were cautious on drafting Brady due to his fragile build, but the Patriots ended up taking him in the sixth round.

The rest is history as Brady has begun putting Super Bowl rings on his second hand. Last season, New England won its sixth Super Bowl in franchise history.

Again, it seems like every offseason we hear the chatter from all of the big names like Max Kellerman and others that Brady will fall off the proverbial cliff. As Brady continues to show, he has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.

Father time has caught up to many NFL players, but the one player it has yet to catch is the 41-year old Brady who is running the 40-yard dash in 5.17 seconds.
