Anthony Davis, nicknamed The Brow, recently flocked to Twitter to ask if he should shave his unibrow, a trait that has made him famous.

Davis posted a poll on both his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

As of this moment, it has already garnered over 300,000 votes. 51% said he should shave it, 49% said he should keep it.

There is no clear reason why he asked it. Bullying is probably out of the possible reasons. So maybe because Davis simply wants to sport a new look? Or maybe he wants to shave it so it can grow a whole lot thicker?

Though his unibrow may be trivial to some, for Davis and the rest of the NBA, it has formed part of himself and also, it has worked as an effective marketing tool. He even applied for a trademark for the phrases “Fear The Brow” and “Raise The Brow” back in 2012, as reported by Darren Rovell of CNBC:

“I don’t want anyone to try to grow a unibrow because of me and then try to make money off of it,” Davis told CNBC. “Me and my family decided to trademark it because it’s very unique.”

In the same year, when Davis was heralded as the top 1 consensus pick, he said that he had no intentions of shaving the unibrow. In an interview with Zach McCann of ESPN, Davis said:

“It changes none whatsoever when I’m in the NBA… I’m not going to change who I am. It’s me…  I guess it just makes me different.”
