The rumors swirling around New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis are incessant and while he could be paying close attention to reports of his potential with some of the league's best teams, he's chosen to tune it all out and focus on the outcome of this season.

“I really don’t listen to [the noise] to be honest,” he told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “I hear it from everywhere from social media, to people around you. But my biggest thing is focusing on playing basketball.

“That’s all I can do. I can’t do nothing else but play basketball to the best of my ability to help my team. … We have one goal and that’s winning a championship, and my job is to try to help them reach that goal.”

Anthony Davis has been the ultimate pro when it comes to handling his free agency, always coming off as a team-first individual and loyal to Pelicans and The Big Easy, despite the lack of results they've gotten in the past few years.

The Brow's deepest playoff run was last season, a sweep of their first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers, only to quickly fall to the defending champion Golden State Warriors while snagging only one game from them.

While there is progress, Davis will need to see a hell of a lot more potential in this team to stay with the organization, as most stars like the 6-foot-11 big man are not willing to sacrifice years of their prime for a team that can't contend for a title.
