New Orleans Pelicans talisman Anthony Davis has been nothing but committed to the organization during his stint in The Big Easy, but his recent switch of agency has made some people in the front office skeptical of a future move. Davis switched to Klutch Sports, which is owned and ran by Rich Paul, LeBron James' close friend and agent, which could set up a potential move to the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent.

Sam Amick of The Athletic recently did an AMA (ask me anything) segment on Reddit, in which he detailed the underlying worries of the organization.

“He seems so loyal to New Orleans, but hiring Rich Paul (LeBron's agent from Klutch Sports) was a major red flag for the Pelicans,” Amick said of Davis. “The Lakers seem [to] like the no-brainer move, either via trade this summer or free agency in two summers.”

The Lakers are aiming for a big star to pair with James and they have a wide gamut of options coming into 2019, with the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, Klay Thompson also bound to hit the free agent market.

Anthony Davis has given no reason for anyone to speculate, remaining respectful to the organization and focused on the task ahead, but it's tough to imagine he'll be willing to swallow more disappointment in the playoffs as he taps into his peak form as a basketball player.
