JJ Redick is among the most-talked-about names ahead of the trade deadline. While the New Orleans Pelicans have shown no inclination to trade him, despite a 13-25 record this season, the sharpshooter isn't looking to find a new home either.

Redick, who signed a two-year, $26.5 million deal with the Pelicans after spending his last two years with a playoff contender in the Philadelphia 76ers, has no regrets:

“I am totally 100 percent happy with the decision I made last summer and I wouldn’t change anything, even if I had the chance to go back,” Redick told Will Guillory of The Athletic. “I want to see this thing through.”

The Duke standout has aged gracefully, as most elite shooters do — one of the few skills that carry true longevity in the league. His true shooting percentage is 64.5%, which would be a career-high mark, though his usage rate of 19.3 would be the lowest he has had since the 2011-12 season.

Redick has been doing a lot of winning in the NBA, whether it was going to the NBA Finals with the Orlando Magic or making the playoffs with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Sixers in the past six seasons. In fact, he has never missed the playoffs.

The 35-year-old might not be competing for the postseason this year (though the Pelicans aren't out of it), but he has taken his role of mentor fondly, embracing the challenge of building a team from scratch around the young talent executive vice president David Griffin has surrounded him with.

JJ Redick's talents could lend well to playoff-aspiring teams, but so long as the marksman has a say, he will be staying put in The Big Easy and could potentially help the Pelicans make a surprise push back into playoff contention. New Orleans is four games out of the No. 8 seed, but there are a number of teams to jump.
