Jrue Holiday says the atmosphere inside the New Orleans Pelicans organization has been different and positive ever since David Griffin was hired as the new executive vice president of basketball operations.

Griffin has done a phenomenal job with the Pelicans. He got a tremendous haul from the Los Angeles Lakers in the Anthony Davis trade, acquiring Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram and three first round picks. Griffin also traded for Derrick Favors from the Utah Jazz and signed JJ Redick in free agency.

“I feel like the whole vibe, the whole attitude in the facility and with the staff has just been different,” Holiday told Andrew Lopez of ESPN. “It definitely feels like people are ready and excited. It's been like that ever since Griff has come into place.”

Let's not forget David Griffin also drafted Zion Williamson with the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, although anyone with a brain would have made that move.

Jrue Holiday is now the best player on the Pelicans. He will be tasked with leading New Orleans to the playoffs in 2019-20.

Last season for the Pelicans, Holiday averaged 21.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 7.7 assists while shooting 47.2 percent from the field, 32.5 percent from beyond the arc and 76.8 percent from the free-throw line. He missed the final 15 games of the season due to a core muscle injury which required surgery, but he is 100 percent now.
